Description
I rendered this awesome car in C4D and V-ray. these renders took long time each one. The mud and dust on car is made with transparency maps and displaced to look a bit like the real thing .
I made no post process or colour correcting. it is a raw render. textures were made previously in photoshop, as were the mud and dust maps.

Looks really believable and nice.
Not 100% percent understand about dirt since mentioned transparency maps confused me. So you have an actual car model with textures etc, then another displaced surface underneath it that represents a dirt, which is partially hidden by transparency map? Am I right? I just planning to render a girl with a foam on her skin so also thinking about using displacements + transparency so any kind of information would be helpful
